Many of you have heard Dr. Tanne give her sunscreen “speech” when you sit in a consultation with her. She feels that the most important thing that you can do when you come to Cosmetic Laser MD is to learn about and get proper sun protection.
Effective sunscreen must protect against the short UVB (B – think BURN) and longer UVA (A – thing AGING) rays. Mineral sunblock is the only type of sunscreen that effectively and elegantly provides protection against both the UVA and UVB rays. Remember, SPF (sun protection factor) only refers to the UVB protection in you sunscreen. It protects against a sunburn but does not block the more damaging UVA radiation.

Solar Protection SPF LipTect™

TIZO 3 Solar Protection Formula SPF40 Facial Mineral Fusion
TIZO 3 Solar Protection Formula is very water resistant and is SPF 40 with broad spectrum UVA and UVB. Ideal for the face.
Titanium, Iron, & Zinc Oxides uniquely formulated to offer sheer, elegant protection with a silky, smooth, matte finish.
TIZO3 offers unparalleled aesthetic elegance while providing superb photoprotective performance. TIZO3 is specially formulated without “chemical sunscreen” filters to offer UVA/UVB light protection.
TIZO3 is paraben, oil, PABA and fragrance free.

TIZO BODY Solar Protection Formula 20% Zinc Oxide
TIZO Body SPF 35 is a mineralsunscreen with 20% Zinc oxide that is ideal for Face and Body. Ideal for men and people who prefer a clear (non-tinted) mineral facial sunscreen. Utilizing multiple particle sizes of a 20% Zinc Oxide dispersion, this single sunscreen filter offers a soft, silky elegant feel that dries clear, while providing superb UVA and UVB protection. It is great for all over body sun protection. Water resistant, paraben free, fragrance free, excellent for sensitive skin.
Solar Protection SPF 58 Water Resistant
Contains Only Titanium & Zinc
Solar Protection SPF58 is mineral based, utilizing ultra-micronized titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as its approved active sunscreen ingredients. Solar Protection SPF58 is free of dyes, fragrance and is “chemical sunscreen free” (some individuals experience skin sensitivity due to chemical sunscreen filters). It is excellent for those with sensitive skin. It offers significant water resistant properties making it ideal for all outdoor activities. Solar Protection SPF58 sunscreen is elegant and highly protective for daily use, leaving the skin soft, smooth and UVA/UVB protected, and is oil, PABA and fragrance free. This product is oil, PABA, and fragrance free.
Tinted Formula SPF 60
This protective sunscreen is actually a liquid makeup/cover–up and daily foundation that we customize to your exact skin tone — especially useful for darker skin tones and after airbrush tanning. Three distinct shades of color, Beige, Honey, and Blush which are then customized to match your own skin tone using the light and/or dark color control adjustors included in each box.
Solar Protection Formula SPF 60 Tinted may be used as a foundation make-up or a camouflage cover-up for skin imperfections such as melasma, post-laser treatment, hyperpigmentation, or any condition where the skin requires camouflage make-up, including Rosacea.
